Children with heart problem is the main content of my poster. The target is asking for sympathy from people, giving donation for organizations supporting the health of children. My poster is balanced, simple, with a heart at the center , lie down on the child shadow.

My machine is composited by some guns, mask tube , such of things. I want to represent some violence factors in this machine, some resistance .

Poster #1

ok, this one has problem but it's hard for me to recognize. I don't intend to add text in the center (near the logo) but not every one know the logo of AIDS. But in fact, I prefer only the logo at the center. Can you give me some comments?

Photomontage #1

ok, this is just example of photomontage from the tutorial. I changed some elements such as the image is darker. There will be some other photomontage image next time.

Portrait abstract

Some example about the portrait exercise. The main purpose is to create a face looking like paint.

Typography #5

It looks like a matrix with lot of letters, opposite colors black and orange, looked confused, but that’s what I want for my word RUN.

Just one hint, click on the image for better resolution, you may get something with it, confused U.

Typography #4

The first idea is put the circle on the word MUSCLE, an overweighing like. After that, I have idea of different angle for this word, and two sides black and white.

Just to bring some feel of wind to this word, letter F and T are bigger to create a small hedge.

Typography #2

I use both text and shape for this, to represent the expansion. The color is dark feeling except the last letter “n”. The size of letter is increased gradually from small size to bigger size. The rectangles are also resized (both white box and thin black box)

Typography #1

Two opposite color is used to emphasize emotion, annoyance feeling. Every word is put next together, some overlays, some is resized, giving an unbalance felling.

GESTALT #2

I want to use the white background to represent a soft feeling when reading. I also use light color for typography. I apply closure for my flowers through the edge of the paper. The second column, I don’t position at the same horizontal line as the first one, this composition may make reader more convenient to follow.

The word "PLANTS" is positioned at the bottom, after the vertical line “the secret sex life of”, represent a continue of direction. I also blur the column of text, to emphasize the flower.

The beauty

Yes, a beauty. This looks like a beauty, isn’t it? Standing at the corner, covered by soft and smooth shadow. And I edit some elements to emphasis; add more emotion for this beauty. I like the black hole behind the flower, it increase the conflict between the light and the darkness in this image. Finally, I especially like to create two versions of this image: the one looking like original image with black and white, the one with more color to have some emotion. Each has different aesthetic elements depending on different viewers.

Sun and moon : how recognize them?

I created 2 poster to represent the sun and moon. The purpose is to help the viewers easily recognize the sun and moon , at least in my opinion. The color palette is totally different in two versions. The sun is with hot colors, and moon is with cold color. Although the style of color is tradition, but I think it also makes the image unique, and more interesting to view. The shape of sun and moon is no special; I just want to represent some funny shapes for them.

A guide for Photoshop

I'd like to introduce to you a really outstanding guidefor some tips of Photoshop. The guide is done by a designer, a really genius designer. But I think to do such a complex task like this guide, you should be an artist, a painter rather than a designer. A importamt note is that the final image is done with just a mouse ( with 3 buttons) and the help of Photoshop. It means no photographic, reference images. A new beginning

This is my new post in second semester, I hope everything is going smoothly.

The composition is this image is great. The shadow looks like the grid dividing image into equal spaces. The shadows are also so high and big, like covering everything, just like the evasion of aliens. I add more hot color to increase the intensity, the emotion of image, and that's my feeling.

Reflection eye

You may not like this image, but this is the image that requires most energy from me.

The purpose is to reflect the world through a woman’s eye (uhm, maybe man). I got inspired by the image that I did in the visual diary of DIM1 course. Now with the help of Photoshop, gathering images is easier and more effectively with plenty of useful effect. You may imagine how I did it. Putting all the images together, creating layer mask, find different methods of gathering for each layer. I refer the red them for this image because the content has a little bloody atmosphere.

HOT!!!HOT!!!

Yeah, the image is hot. It’s the situation when you think too much, just like you get stressed. There are three factors in this image: fire, human, and chilli. It’s funny that I thought about chilli, but the red color of chilli is very beautiful to create a red theme and background. Fire is put everywhere but not much (because I’m afraid it becomes a mess and hard to see).
