A present for RMIT
Trust me, I don’t intend in create a poster for RMIT, just recognizing the ladder symbol is suitable for this situation. The ladder is a little abstract because I feel ugly to put a real ladder here. And the effect is better than I imagine. About “Information Day”, I use align right but I think it’s okay because this is still a neat design. Uhmm, this image is simple so I don’t know what to tell you. I just like the idea and it makes this poster meaningful.

It is impressive.
I don't understand why I have a scary feeling when seeing your poster, maybe because of the black ladder. Your poster contains too few information to be a real poster.
After all, I think you should add the copyright words such as "Designed by Colossus". It will make the poster look more commercial.
Anyway, your idea about the ladder is impressive.
Regardless of the subject matter, your layout is extremely impressive, as is the typography. My only suggestion would be to align the words "Infomation Day" to the side of the ladder instead of right aligning, and perhaps make the font a little smaller and tighten up the leading between the words. It's nice to have some whitespace at the edges of the poster unless you are going to go over the edge on purpose.
